From my mind to the dress form, I created a skirt and top inspired by Barbies characters in the Barbie movies. This design highlights the youth and femininity of the character while maintaining the class and feeling of royalty that Barbie often portrays. This design consisted of 30 total handmade pattern pieces. The top is finished with French seams and a rolled hem with a tulle overlay, sleeves, and an invisible zipper. The skirt is finished with French seams, an asymmetrical yoke, and around ten yards of tulle ruffles.
